Dr. Pourkesali has been treating many clients to look their best by performing cosmetic procedures that include but not exclusive to the following:

Botox Treatment:

Dr. Pourkesali specializes in Botox injection for many areas in aging face to reduce the effects that leads to formation of wrinkles and loss of collagen. There is a misconception that Botox is a toxin and can have negative results for the body. It is true that it is a toxin and is derived from bacteria, but it is sterilized, purified and diluted. In reality many medications that help us to live a normal life are “safe and useful” poisons. For example Purple foxglove is a poison that is used as a heart medication (digitalis); Curare is used on poison darts to paralyze people but also used to relax muscles during anesthesia; Willow bark is the precursor to Aspirin which can cause fatal bleeding but is also useful for preventing or minimizing the effects of heart attacks.

Botox is used for both medical conditions like for spastic eyelids as well as for cosmetic treatments. At the doses that are used for cosmetic therapy, Botox is very safe.

Cosmetic upper and lower Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty that is trimming the excess tissues and fat from upper and lower lid is a form of art that is done best by those who are doctors and artist. It is a delicate procedure and end results are purely dependent on degree of talent inherent in your doctor. Dr. Pourkesali has done countless number of these procedures and prides himself achieving unparalleled results. He also performs mini-face lifts that involve minimal cutting and lifting the limited facial tissue.

Dermal Fillers

As we age our faces go through a dynamic process that involves our soft tissue and bony structures that cause overall facial aesthetic changes. The dermis (inner part of skin) thins due to collagen loss. The skin loses elasticity due to loss of Elastin which is a protein found in connective tissue that is elastic and help the skin to maintain its shape. We also lose moisture in our skin and our skin becomes dryer secondary to loss of hyaluronic acid and fat loss. At the same time our bones deteriorate and become more brittle.  Starting as early as the 20’s, you may start to develop frown lines in the upper face and fine wrinkles and folds in the mid-face. In your 40’s, frown lines in the upper and fine lines, wrinkles, and folds in the mid-face become more defined and may be joined by some lip thinning, hollowing of eyes and cheeks, and jowls.

Typically, in the 55+ age range, people present with deep frowns in the upper face; extensive fine lines, wrinkles and folds in the mid-face and more prominent lip thinning, hollowing of eyes and cheeks, and jowls.

Although we cannot stop the aging process, however, we can slow down the process by replenishing it with natural hyaluronic acid and collagen loss. Dr. Pourkesali is an expert in helping you achieve your final goal.
